Diverticulitis Club was created to provide an online community for people like you or someone you know suffering from diverticulitis.
Every year, US hospitals admit an estimated 200,000 people, but this figure may only scratch the surface of the problem. It’s difficult to find accurate numbers from other countries. If you’re like many of us, you may find that you haven’t officially been counted and are likely independently managing your symptoms from the comfort of your own home.
Now you’ve found us, you can connect with other sufferers in our forums. Swap diet tips, coping strategies or just have a rant. We’re all here to listen and help where we can.
The club does not possess medical training, and it is crucial for you to always seek assistance from a professional. We are here to support each other as a community, not to diagnose, prescribe or treat.
Many of us had not heard of diverticulitis until we heard a doctor explaining what the pains we had in our lower-left abdomen was. In time, I hope that as a community, we can grow awareness of the disease, offer objective data to the medical community and learn from each other.
We offer Support, Community, and Understanding through practical and emotional support. You are not alone.
