Eat a more fiber-rich diet and also take pre- and probiotics. Take anti-inflammatory drugs.

I am in hospital now having a flare up. I am receiving 6 hourly IV antibiotics and strong pain meds when needed. Presently only permitted to have water. Doctor said he will reintroduce liquids next. No solids/food until the course of antibiotics is finished and pain subsides.
